Nissan GTR Drive Day!

In October 2009 I was invited along to Moorooka Nissan's Drive Day held for their Nissan GTR owners at Queensland Raceway. With Mark in tow as my assistant *chuckle*, we both had the excitement of being able to stand in places on the track where spectators etc are not allowed to go. A bit scary at times, but gee what a day!

Mark had the fun of taking a GTR out on the track for a few quick laps himself which was of course his highlight of the day, and mine was the hot lap I had at the end with a professional driver... WOO HOO!!!!! (I did brace myself that hard though that I bruised my ribs, but I wasn't scared I promise! lol. ;-)

I took over 900 photos on the day as the cars were going so fast I didn't want to miss any shots... But here is just a small collection of some favourites from the day I'd love to share with you.

Thanks to Peter and Todd of Moorooka Nissan for inviting me along on the day, and special thanks to my 'assistant' Mark for helping me by carrying my heavy bag and tripod ALL day.

It was a super fun day and wonderful experience!

Warren & Maxine became Mr & Mrs Mashford

in a small beach side ceremony with close family and friends.

Having the honor of being their photographer to capture

their love for each other on their wedding day,

A special day for Warren & Maxine...

Today Warren & Maxine will share their love for each other

in a ceremony of marriage with close family and friends. I wish them both a beautiful day filled with happiness and special memories

as they continue their love together as husband and wife.

I am honored to say I have been asked to be their photographer this afternoon, and as I get ready for this special event I would like to share these 2 photos being my favourites from our trial run just the other week.

It is an exciting feeling to see a photo of your own

published in a glossy magazine... Here is my photo in this months

Burke's Backyard on page 13.

This amazing looking fella was spotted by Mark on the tree stump in our backyard in March this year. Mark called me to have a look and said "I think you better bring the camera!" I had never seen anything like it before. Mr Caterpillar was on the move, but luckily with my quick snap photography skills and a super macro lens... I was able to capture these photos of him before he disappeared off into the garden.

for a fabulous company ~ Stampin' Up!

Lil and I met through my workshops I hold here on the Island and when she had spotted this framed page I had made of my favourite photo of Elana...

...she asked could I help her make a page with one of the photos

I had taken of her grandkids too.

Here's what we created...

This page layout was inspired by a design by Rebecca Ross who is a friend and fellow demonstrator for Stampin' Up! also. It fitted with the photo so well, we changed the colours and layout slightly...

it turned out absolutely adorable.
